Inner barrels have always been a tough subject for me. Through my years of playing airsoft and working in manufacturing, I have rarely found an aftermarket inner barrel with a cost that justified it's performance gain. Then I tried a Unicorn barrel...
Unicorn have extensive experience in making your GBBRs shoot as accurately as possible, and the inner barrels made by them are a fantastic place to start. These inner barrels are made of a high quality Brass and then coated with a Nitroflon finish. Nitroflon finishes allow for a mirror smooth surface and drastically increase hardness to combat wear. It also seals the below surface against any kind of moisture, oxidization, or any other form of environmental factor. It's safe to say your barrel shall remain corrosion and scratch free.
Unicorn inner barrels also lend themselves to having very large contact patch windows on the chambering end. This is great for hop-up buckings to apply the full width of their contact patch. You guessed it; because of this these inner barrels work amazingly with our own Crimson GBB Bucking, available here.
All of this together makes for a really top performing precision barrel. There is a reason you are starting to see Unicorn in almost all major airsoft upgrade shop.
All of this for what I will say is a very reasonable price compared to other competitors. My big issue with our brands is they can cost an arm and a leg for a marginal difference in performance. That gap is significantly closed with Unicorn.
